1/5/12 "W O W" Kyle Bornstein, owner of Ecopacific Seafoods in Bellingham WA along with long time friend Cassandra Wright, Owner of Vis Seafoods also from Bellingham were on board The Linda Sue III when we caught the " LARGEST OCEANIC WHITE TIP  SHARK " on ROD & REAL in many years off the Kona Coast. Kyle fought the "BIG BEAST " estimated at over 600Lbs. & 11 Ft. Plus long while Cassandra  provided the heroic close up photos. The "Magnificent Giant" was later RELEASED UNHARMED to continue it's journey around the Hawaiian Island. 590 lb Blue Marlin, Kona Hawaii Kyle Hurley, Pleasant Hill, CA 11/10/11   Click on each picture to see larger   Birthday Wish Come True When Kyle Hurley from Pleasant Hill, CA booked the Linda Sue III for her 26th birthday, she said she wanted to catch a fish, one bigger than her father. I told her "watch out what you wish for", we have BIG FISH IN KONA! 40 minutes out of the harbor, wham-o! 2-1/2 hours later, with the help of her friend John Madson and Deck hand Mike Bonsante, she landed the monster 590 LB Blue Marlin! 315 lb Blue Marlin, Kona Hawaii Pablo Salivar, Green River, WY 10/26/11   The three Salivar brothers from Green River, WY had the time of their lives on the Linda Sue III. Starting with Pablo tagging a 160 LB bronze Whaler followed by brother Jesus landing a 190 LB bronze Whaler and not to be outdone, the third brother Armando quickly caught a 35 LB Mahi Mahi to bring home dinner. Even though Chuck was in the "chair" for over an hour, Kari was a fantastic cheerleader throughout the battle. Chuck & Kari are "repeat offenders" on the Linda Sue. Michael had only seen the thrill of a "BIG BLUE MARLIN" on a tight line on TV so he travelled almost 6000 miles in hopes of seeing one in real life. Boy, did he get to see it!  We had 2 "BIG BLUES" ON AT THE SAME TIME. Unfortunately, they crossed each other and one got cut off.

Tim & son Eric Erbstoesser from San Luis Obispo, CA had to do a tag team for 2 hours to get this "Bad Girl" to the boat. It was a real struggle and deck hand, Mike Donsant (far right) ended up hand lining the monster up for the last hour. Tim's other two sons, 9 year old twins, provided the water service and cheerleading.

8/11/10: Matthew Kowalyk at only age 14 just wanted to catch anything so we took him up to the "Grounds" and caught several Skip Jack Tunas on lite tackle and he was stoked. On the way  back - slam, jumped in the chair and then Matthew lands a 267 lbs Blue Marlin! Remember still at age 14.

1/10/10 Happy New Year! Dr. Dickrand Borainian from Kona took his 84 yr old father out fishing on the Linda Sue III. After a couple hours of looking for fish, we came upon a school of porpoises. On our 3rd pass thru, wham, two outriggers came crashing down. After a 30 min battle, Dick's Dad Dickrand boated a beautiful 110 lb. Ahi "Yellow Fin Tuna". 10 mins later, it was Dick Jr's turn and up came another Ahi at 107.5 lbs.

What a great time for a Father and son to spend together!

11/22/09 This over curious Marlin was following the Linda Sue 10 feet behind and 10 ft under the water as we were trolling 2 live Tunas as bait 50 ft behind. With the quick action of Lael by hand lining the Tuna up next to the Marlin, Angler Shawn Driggers landed the biggest fish of his lifetime. 7/29/09 Joe Gamba from Vacaville CA took his 14 yr old son Ben out for a day of sportfishing on the Linda Sue III and what a day it was! Ben, a great example of a 14 yr old, who stays in shape working out at the gym singlehandedly boated a 161 lb & 168 lb Blue Marlin and ended the day in a grueling 1 hr battle with the 182 lb yellow fin Tuna "Ahi". His dad did a great job landing the 207 lb Blue Marlin & successfully released another 150 lb Blue Marlin!
